We are witnessing climate change and increasing impacts on the nature and environment in which we find ourselves and live. A large percentage of plastics in the environment is also part of the problem of climate change.
It is this issue that we deal with in the action “Plastic is not fantastic” which is also the biggest project of our club that we are implementing in partnership with the European Solidarity Corps (Agency for Mobility and European Union Programmes).
The main goal of the project is to point out the problem of excessive and unnecessary use of plastics resulting in the generation of large quantities of plastic within living areas. The intended actions are: sharing cardboard and cloth bags in the area of the city market, sound and visual performances on Korzo with messages about the importance of responsible behavior towards nature and exhibition of paintings, in cooperation with the cast we will organize a show that reflects on these problems, organizing educational lectures on the topic of plastic.
This action is the latest in a series of “green” initiatives we are implementing as a club. The duration of the action is 12 months, and the implementation itself is foreseen for the last quarter of 2020 and the beginning of 2021 year. Taking into account the new epidemiological circumstances, we have adapted the implementation of activities in accordance with the prescribed measures so that all together and healthy, we can enjoy the environment with less plastic.
